Western Engineering Steel Bridge (WESB)

Western Engineering Steel Bridge (WESB) is a motivated team of engineering students with the goal to design and build an efficient and modular steel bridge for the Canadian National Steel Bridge Competition. Specific criteria include: rigidity, aesthetics, originality, construction speed, lightness, and construction cost. The team must ensure that the bridge adheres to rules outlined in the competition guidelines including spatial, material, and construction constraints. Focus is placed on collaboration alongside other undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty advisors to deliver a coherent and effective final product.
